What is the best seafood dish at The Hangout?
According to the internet, the Ultimate Seafood Boil is the best seafood dish at The Hangout. This dish includes snow crab, mussels, Fresh Gulf Shrimp, sweet corn, red potatoes, and Conecuh sausage low-boiled in a secret seasoning blend and served with Old Bay garlic butter.
However, as someone with a severe iodine allergy, I can’t confirm that. LOL! I got chicken and can honestly say it was the best chicken I’ve had!
I was shocked at the juicy tenderness because often when a place is an experience place the food isn’t the greatest. But also, seafood places often don’t do other things well. Pleasantly surprised, for sure!
What is the most popular cocktail at The Hangout?
With 8 signature cocktails on the menu, there’s something for everyone! But, the most popular cocktail at The Hangout is the Shark Attack.
The Shark Attack is a refreshing and colorful cocktail that is perfect for summer parties. The drink gets its blue color from curaçao, an orange-flavored liqueur, and its sweetness from pineapple juice.
Thanks to its balance of sweet and tart flavors, the Shark Bite Signature Cocktail is a delicious and festive choice for any occasion.
What is the view like from The Hangout?
The Hangout has an incredible view of the beach and the Gulf of Mexico. You can see the water and the sand for miles. It’s truly a beautiful sight.
And, in case you didn’t know, the Gulf Coast is renowned for its beautiful beaches, and for good reason. The shining white sand and turquoise waters are a sight to behold, and the endless stretches of the beach provide ample opportunity for relaxation and recreation.
But what makes the Gulf Coast beaches so special? One of the key factors is the composition of the sand.
Unlike other beaches, which are mostly composed of coral or shells, the sand on the Gulf Coast is composed primarily of quartz. This gives it a bright white color that helps to reflect the sunlight and creates a dazzling contrast with the blue waters.

Don’t go here expecting a quiet evening of conversation – if that is what you are after, The Hangout is not your place. There’s no quiet and conversation is nearly impossible. There’s so much energy happening during just a normal night that you will leave full of adrenaline and ready to take on the night. 🙂
The Hangout is a super popular place in south Alabama, so be prepared to wait a couple of hours for a table! We happened to get there right before 5 p.m. and went straight to a table. However, by the time we finished eating, the place was standing room only and new folks were being told there was a 2.5-hour wait for a table – on a Sunday night!
