We had attended a dance recital at the Saenger Theater next door before we stopped here to eat, so we were a little more dressed up than the other people there, but we didn’t feel out of place!

The prices at LoDa Bier Garten are very reasonable, especially for the quality of food and drink that you’ll receive. You can expect to spend around $10-$15 per entree.
We had 3 entrees, 2 alcoholic drinks, 1 soft drink, and 2 appetizers – with tip and all we came out under $100!
What does LoDa Mean?
Our first thought when we went was that Loda meant “load of” or “a whole lot” in German. LOL!
We were wrong!
LoDa is actually an acronym for Lower Dauphin because that is where the restaurant and bar is located!
The Details You Need
Because LoDa is in Downtown Mobile, you are most likely going to have to walk down Dauphin Street! There is no parking lot. Advice from a local: go to Downtown Mobile on the weekends and save a bit of cash because the parking meters are all free then!
Also, it is much bigger than it looks! In addition to several picnic tables outside, there is an entire upstairs! Walk to the back of the restaurant to find the stairs.
