What to expect when visiting the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame

My husband is a die-hard Alabama Football fan, so I knew we wouldn’t be able to go to Atlanta without a visit to the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame. And I’m so glad we made time for it!

I am not a big football fan (big enough… War Eagle! but I’d rather do quite a few other things than watch it) however, I also had a great time. If you go in not knowing anything about football, have no fear! Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame will teach you everything you need to know.

As soon as you walk in, you’re given an All-Access Pass. You register it at a kiosk in the lobby and it will light up your team’s helmet on the great helmet wall, but it will also customize the rest of your visit – plus, it houses all your pictures, videos, etc.

The RFID technology allows interactive exhibits to know who you cheer for as soon as you walk up to it, and it shows you photos and videos for your specific team.

Did you know? Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame has the world’s largest collection of college football helmets.

You start the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame experience with a 45-yard indoor football field, which is pretty cool in and of itself.

I admit we spent way too long sitting in the bleachers laughing at football player-wanna-be’s trying their hand at throwing, kicking, and catching. It was all in good fun! They were laughing at themselves, too.

From there, you move on to the rest of the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame exhibits.

I was really impressed with how interactive the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame was. It wasn’t just a bunch of stagnant displays. You could touch, feel, and experience everything in the 50+ interactive exhibits.

The Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame National Championship Game Experience was really cool. You sit in a replica stadium seat, put on headphones, and watch highlights from some of the most iconic college football national championship games. It was so cool to experience!

My husband’s favorites were the ones that put you in the game, like the Quarterback Challenge and the Virtual Reality Experience. But there are also exhibits on tailgating, Heisman Trophy winners, and much more.

I think my favorite part was the Under Armour Evolution of Equipment area. It was super cool to see how all the football gear has changed through the years – but also how the players’ sizes have changed! CFA Hall has a display of a football jersey from each decade, starting in 1900!

Is the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame worth it?

Absolutely! We had so much fun, and we learned a lot, too. I would definitely recommend it to anyone, whether you’re a die-hard fan or just a casual observer. Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame is an immersive experience that will leave you wanting more.

How much time do you need at Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame?

The internet says 2 hours, but we spent more than three there and could have spent more. We like to take our time to see all the bits, though.
