The waitstaff at Joe Cain’s is very laid back – its just like at home. The authenticity starts with opening 15 minutes later than the door says and ends with you getting your own cutlery from the counter.

Our Final Thoughts on Joe Cains restaurant
The food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was relaxed. The waitstaff were very friendly, and the prices were reasonable.
I would definitely recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a great place to eat in Mobile.
I am not a patient person, so when the door says a place opens at 10:30 a.m. I expect it to open at 10:30 a.m.
We walked through the open door at 10:35 a.m. and were told by the person behind the bar that they weren’t yet open. It was well over 10 minutes after that before we were invited in.
Unfortunately, while I know that everyone is understaffed in 2022, it still left a sour taste in my mouth. It was rude and unprofessional in my opinion. I did not ask to speak to a manager and at the end of the day, it was VERY minor issue. But, I believe in full disclosure in reviews, so that is why I even mentioned it.
With all of that said, the pizza we got was DELICIOUS and delivered fairly quickly after we ordered!
I believe in giving people and places the benefit of the doubt, so we will go back again.
Joe Cain Café is a rather small place that is hidden on the corner of the BattleHouse Hotel.
The day we went, the staff was not ready to open on time and we had to wait a small bit past the posted opening time.
Once we were seated and ordered, the food came out pretty quickly.
The Cheesy Bread, more like a pizza than a loaf of bread, was delicious, but the Bacon Chicken Alfredo Pizza was amazing.
It was more than enough for both of us and we had plenty to bring home.
Joe Cain Cafe is a great place to eat some delicious pizza and sandwiches. The food is fantastic, and the atmosphere is relaxed.
